Claiming damage from Telcos for blocking FB, Whatsapp & Viber - 03-13-2018, 10:09 PM

If there is anyone who if familiar with the legal situation of this please advise.

Is there any legal provision for customers to claim damage from Telco companies for the negative business impact created by the sudden blockage of Facebook, Whatsapp and Viber?

I own an online business and i pay my monthly fixed rental to access internet services from a Telco, can they suddenly block part of the service and charge me the same rental ?

I do not suggest them to go against the government regulations. They can stick to the regulations and get compensated from the government, without charging the customer for something they failed to deliver. These telcos survive because of their customers, so some sort of justice must be served for the money people pay them. I'm hoping the telcos will understand the gravity of the impact on their customers and at least try to get a waiver of government taxes without merely blindly following the directives of the regulators.

check this in the agreement between you and the telco provider. all providers are under goverment regulations so if there is a statement of agreement regarding restricting any connectivity they do not have any choice but to obey.
