some people will see what they want to see... If you went to this movie convinced that this is movie is a religious conspiracy..then thats all you will see..

Others with a open mind..just see this for what it is..an entertaining movie & one of the good ones that was released in resent times..

I watched it before it was publicly released... so nobody knew about this conspiracy theories then...so enjoyed the movie a lot..

thats the best advise I can give for anyone who is planning to watch this..

this article says that the movie has a connection between catholic missonary just because it has a similar flow with the life of christ,

so In my point of view,,

According to Mahawansa, Pandu aba descends from shakya clan of india. (generation of buddha)..
his grandmother - baddakachchayana( mother of unmada-chitra) ,was one of the grand daughters of Buddha.
after pandukabaya becomes king, he holds the throne for 70 years.he builds anuradhapura city and lays the foundation for the entrance of buddism to the island.
The climax of sequence is the reign of his grand son, Devanam piyathissa.. who takes buddism in to the island and helps expand throughout the island.And so was the beginging of Sinhala-buddist civilaxation in the isalnd.
So
According to the evidence above, Now I can say this movie is about the begining of buddism or something similar.

those who read this might feel this post is irrelevant, But what I tried to say was,
Anybody can prove anything by taking a small pharse out of a history record or a movie and say bullshit about anything. And prove what they believe as right.

I totally agree with earthling. and I've seen Some people only watch the trailer and give hilorious reviews through blogs(not talking about the article which has posted here).
I've seen the movie too and There's no such thing as a connection between the film or/and any religion .
If you wear blue shades, you will see the world in blue.

dnt listen to shitty critics and watch the movie with an open mind. Enjoy it as a movie.
