Thermaltake’s Big Typhoon VX is an aggressive CPU cooler that performs extremely well and now comes with a more powerful, variable speed fan. Unfortunately, the new tool-less mounting system left me unimpressed.

Price - $54.99 USD

I wonder if it really sounds like a typhoon. Then, I don't want it. I'm moving into silnet PCs. Can you believe my CPU's fan works at less than 1000RPM?!!!

The fan used on this is an Everflow F121225SM
Specs:
@12V default,
Speed = 2100RPM
Noise level = 37.5dB
Airflow = 86.59CFM (cubic feet per minute)

So it reaches 2000RPM afterall. I didn't hear any difference in noise. Maybe the cumulative noise from all the other fans (chasis fan, two fans in the power supply and the GPU fan) could be higher than that of the CPU fan even at 2000RPM. :rolleyes:

I think youre a fanboy... :yes: (AMD GUY)

I am? No way. I have given up fanboysm... (i don't think such a word exists in English, but you get the point no?) I like what's good and I don't like what's bad. Intel is better than AMD right now, so I'm with Intel. When/if AMD regains the honour of being the king performer, then I'll switch to AMD. It's not like politics.
