Thurstan T20 Triangular Tournament Featuring Richmond, Nalanda And Thurstan For President Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy

Thurstan Cricket [ Cricket wing of the OBU ] has organized the above tournament among schools that the President Honourable Mahinda Rajapaksa attended during his school career. The President has consented to give this trophy and he is schedule to grace the finals of this tournament and distribute awards to the winners.

This tournament is schedule to be held at Thurstan Grounds, Prof Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha Colombo 7 on Friday April 8th & Saturday April 9th . Preliminary matches will be played on a league basis & the winners & runners-up will play in the finals.

His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha hands over the Mahinda Rajapaksha challenge Trophy to Thurstan College Principal Mr. Y.A.N.D. Yapa. Mr. Noel Joseph, Mr. Paranavithana, Mr. Noel Joseph, His Excellency Dixon Dela Bandara (High Commissioner to Maldives), Mr. S. Panditha Managing Director of Sierra Cables PLC & Mr. Daminda Cooray looks on.
