With all due respect for those members, this is my version. Hope this will help

How to Download Torrents Using a BitTorrent Client

Step 1

How to find Torrents

The best torrent search engine I could find is non other than torrentz. You can find almost anything that has ever been in torrent using torrentz.

Go to torrentz

Step 2

Search for a torrent.
Here I'm going to download a movie called Drive Angry 3D (2011). I'm just going to type the name at the search box and hit Enter.

You will be able to see a long list of torrents in that name. You have to be careful when selecting a torrent. If you can see a Green circle next to the torrent that means it's a verified torrent.

(Verified torrent is a torrent checked and approved by their team or search bots. In most cases such torrents are not fake and don’t contain any malware or viruses)

That doesn't mean others are fake. There are many perfectly good torrents which are not marked as Verified.

Once you are in the downloading game you know which uploaders/rippers are most trusted among the others. You can even search under the uploaders/rippers name but there are fakes uploaded under their names too. So always read comments before you start downloading.

You can look for comments in old torrents but if it is a new one and there is no comments posted, you have to rely on the uploaders/rippers name. In such cases, it is better to go with verified torrents.

Another thing you have to consider is that whether your (movie) torrent is a camera copy or a DvDRip. The quality varies according to the original source( A DVD, Blu-Ray Disk, or a workprint). Click here for more details

Here, I've selected the torrent from one of my favourite rippers.

Even though it is not marked as Verified, I know it's trusted. (Beginners should stick with Verified Torrents until you get some experience on who are the trusted uploaders/rippers, and on how to make sure it's the real deal.)

Here, you can select any of the sites listed and download the .torrent file which opens with the BitTorrent client. My favourite Client is µTorrent. It's light and no fuss.

Step 3

Choosing a Website
Given below are few of the great sites for downloading your .torrent file.

thepiratebay.org
btmon.com
1337x.org
rarbg.com
btjunkie.org
torrenthound.com
KickassTorrents
monova.org
newtorrents.info
bt-chat.com
take.fm
vertor.com

I for one would go for the above, If they are listed in torrentz.

Most of the time btmon.com, 1337x.org, and rarbg.com posts screen shots from the movies.

Here, I've selected thepiratebay.org because it has always been simply the best.

Always remember to look for comments and read them if there are any. They really help us to choose torrents wisely.

Each of the above sites has their own way of identifying trusted uploaders and torrents. In thepiratebay.org, the trusted uploaders are denoted by a skull next to their name.

Step 4

Adding more trackers to get more seeders.
(Trackers assist in allowing peers to connect to each other. By adding more trackers, you should have more options for peers to connect to. Therefore, there is a good chance that adding more trackers will improve download speeds.)

In the middle of the torrentz page you'll see a part similar to the below image with a heading "Torrent Trackers" and at the end of this list you'll see a link "µTorrent compatible list here". Click on that and you'll get the list of trackers.

Step 5

Downloading the torrent.
You just have to click "Download this torrent" and open the downloaded .torrent file.

Then the torrent file will open with your default BitTorrent client. In this case with µTorrent.

In the above window go to Advanced and copy / paste the µTorrent compatible torrent trackers list in the area specified for Trackers. Simply add those trackers with the existing trackers.

You can also add more trackers by downloading the same .torrent file from the list of sites in torrentz and loading each of them into the torrent client.

Note
If it is the same torrent file with the same Hash, there will only be a message saying
"The torrent you are tring to add is already in the list of torrents. Do you want to load the trackers from it?".
You just have to click Yes. If not, it'll open like a new torrent file. In this case cancel it otherwise you'll be downloading two torrents with the same name.

If your torrent has multiple files, you can select which files you want to download and click OK.

Now your torrent will start to download.

To speed up the download, your upload speed limit should be 10% of your maximum download speed while you download. After that you should seed with maximum upload speed.

for example:
If your max download speed is 200kB/s then your upload speed should be 20kB/s

I for one keeps my upload speed limited to 3kB/s to 10kB/s until I finish downloading, then I seed with full upload speed.

Now you just have to wait till the download completes.

Always remember to seed at least for 24 hours. A lot of downloaders could be depending on you.

How to Download Torrents Using a Direct Link

Now we will see how to Download torrents without a BitTorrent Client and Download them just like using a Direct link like RS only without the waiting part and need a premium account part.

Step 1

Go and set up an account at torrific.com. It's free. You only need a valid email address.

You will receive an email with a link to validate your account. Just click on the link and you are ready.

Now log in to your account at torrific.com.

Step 2

Step 2 is to do the first 3 Steps we discussed under "How to Download Torrents Using a BitTorrent Client".

Step 3

Here, instead of downloading the .torrent file, we copy the download link by right clicking on "Download this torrent".

Now we paste the copied link into the search box in torrific.com and click get or just hit enter.

Then, click on "Initiate BitTorrent Transmission"

When you get to the screen below, you are ready to begin your download as using a direct link. You just have to click on the link and it will start to download.

If you've installed a download accelerator, your download speed will increase otherwise there is no problem your download will start with your browser.

I've installed IDM (Internet Download Manager) so my download started with it.

Now you just have to wait till the download finishes and enjoy the movie.

Wait..............You are not finished yet

Now comes the most important part. It is reviewing and rating your torrent.
You don't have to do much Just register at torrentz so you can post a comment your self. It'll only take less than a minute.

Just rate the Audio and Video under a scale of 1 to 10. Say if the torrent is a fake or out of sync or you can just say thanks to the uploader.

If you have multiple accounts on other torrent sites, post a comment on each of them too.

Your comments are most valuable for the downloaders as well as for the uploaders.
If you get one wrong, you can save someone from doing the same mistake. If you get it right, others could follow you.
