My SLT connection [email protected] has been implanted with a fair user policy! I'm currently getting only 8KB/s per single connection. However multi-connection programs like Torrents get 60KB/s....

When I use another persons ADSL username and password I get full speed 60KB/s for single connection!

When I called SLT they said

"We have decided to give FUP to all customers since the TRC wants us to"

When I called TRC on Telephone number 1900

"You see Mr. Chirantha, a operator spends Rs. 60,000 on a single 512K circuit so there is a problem on how they can provide full speed to heavy users, ISP's have informed us that they need to take care of these heavy users in some manner. We have not given any permission to carry out any throttling"

So far I have not run into any another person who has been affected by this new SLT FUP!!

I spoke up for this issue a few months ago maybe SLT is attacking me as a personal grudge

My usage :

June : 39GB
July : 18GB
August : 47GB
