I just thought to share some basic facts about hair gel since you guys ask so many things regarding hair gel.
Hair gel is made from semi-solids that contain alcohol, water and other chemicals. The purpose of the chemical is to stretch and then hold your hair up. Basically, hair gel is made from hydrocarbon, an organic thing which mainly cause hair fall.
The advantage of hair gel is for hair styling stuff as you guys keen into it.……….
The disadvantages of hair gel are,
1) It dries the hair. And the hair could break easily.
2) It can also leave dandruff-like flakes.
3) It contains a large percentage of alcohol, will dry the hair shaft and make split. This will cause split ends.
4) It causes hair loss. Most men might suffer from baldness much before their age.
5) If the gel contains ammonia, it might turn the hair gray from black.
There are few ways to reduce the damage.
1) Shampoo and condition your hair carefully to prevent the dandruff and dryness of your hair.
2) Avoid applying the hair gel to the ends of the hair as this might split the ends of your hair.
3) If the hair gel dries your hair, spraying a little water on it could bring it back to life.
4) Do not apply too much of gel on a particular same area of your head.
Here is another option to use instead of hair gel.
Add 1 teaspoon of gelatin into 1 cup of warm water and mix it well.
Add 2 drops of lemon juice and stir it well. Store it in the refrigerator and use it as hair gel. (This has to be stored in a refrigerator as it contains no preservatives). Shelf life is approximately one week.
