Bus fares can be reduced only by 9% – Gamunu Wijeratne

In spite of the government's promise of a 25% reduction in bus fares by its budget proposals only a 9% reduction could be made available says President of Private Bus Owners Association Gamunu Wijeratane.
He says bus fares cannot be reduced due to the increase in prices of spare parts though fuel prices have come down by a small margin.
