Emptiness

As I look in the mirror
I see hollowness
I see emptiness
Untold secrets, fears
Those eyes hold terrorizing visions
Untold anguish

Starring into emptiness
I see pain
I see tears
My mind flashes
Brutal stabbing of the soul
The depth of the sting is indescribable
Leaving ever lasting bruises

I am trying to see through the tears
My vision is getting blurry
I can’t see through the pain
The horrid memories
The torture, desolation
The disturbing silence

No one can see
The deep sadness
All the pain those eyes have seen
Broken promises shattered dreams
Feeling detached and cold
I sense endless numbness
Emotions being brutally trampled

I’ve lost myself in the mist of darkness
There is a silent murderer standing behind the mirror
Who has slowly taken away everything?
I try to comprehend the sorrow behind those eyes
But somehow I fail miserably
I’m frozen at the gush of the moment.
Emptiness….
Loneliness….
Flows through those eyes…..
