A UNP member of Kotte Municipal Council has been arrested regarding the attack on ‘Sirasa’ media institution says Police spokesman Ranjith Gunasekera..

UNP Municipal councilor arrested in suspicion of the Sirasa attack


(Lanka-e-News, January 09, 2009, 8.10 PM) A MP of the Sri Jayawardhanapura Municipal Council was arrested today (09) at Maharagama in suspicion of causing destruction to Depanama transmission station of Sirasa Media Network.

The police suspects that the Defender vehicle belonged to this Municipal councilor has been used for the attack.
