Sarath Fonseka granted conditional bail by the Colombo high court.

UPDATE:

Colombo High Court Judge Sunil Rajapaksa awarded bail to former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka in the case pertaining to harboring Army deserters a short while ago.

Fonseka was given a cash bail of one million rupees and two personal bails amounting to 5 million rupees.

දැනට රිමාන්ඩ් බාරයේ පසුවන හිටපු හමුදාපති සරත් පොන්සේකා ඇප මත මුදා හරින ලෙස කොළඹ මහාධිකරණ විනිසුරු සුනිල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා අද නියෝග කෙළේය. හමුදාවෙන් පැන ගිය පිරිසකට රැකවරණ දුන්නැයි ඔහුට හා ඔහුගේ ලේකම් සේනක හරිප්‍රිය ද සිල්වාට එරෙහිව මේ නඩවු පවරා තිබිණි. පොන්සේකා වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටි නීතිඥ සාලිය පීරිස් මහතා අධිකරණයට පැවැසූයේ රජය ඔහු නිදහස් කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් සලකා බලන බව දැනගන්නට ඇති බවයි. මෙම නඩුවෙන් ඔහු රිමාන්ඩ් බාරයට පත් කැර සිටින නිසා රජයෙන් ඔහු නිදහස් කළහොත් ඔහුට එම නිදහස ලැබීමට අවහිරයක් විය හැකි හෙයින් ඔහුට ඇප නියම කරන්නැයි නීතඥවරයා ඉල්ලා සිටියේය. රජයේ නීතිඥ දමිත් තොටවත්ත මහතා ඇප ඉල්ලීමට එරෙහිවූයේ නැත. මෙවැනි චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඇප දිය හැකි බව ඔහු කීවේය. රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 10ක මුදල් ඇපයක් ද රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 25ක ශරීර ඇප දෙකක් ද මත පෙන්සේකා මුදා හරින ලෙස නියෝග කළ විනිසුරු ඔහුගේ විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්‍රය උසාවි බාරයට ගත්තේය. අවශ්‍යවූ විටෙක උසාවියෙන් එය ලබාගත හැකි බව විනිසුරු ප්‍රකාශ කෙළේය. නවලෝක රෝහලේ ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන පොන්සේකා අද උසාවි පැමිණියේ නැත. ඔහු අසනීපයෙන් පසුවන බව ඔහුගේ නීතිඥවරු අධිකරණයට දැන්වූහ. එහි ගොස් පොන්සේකාගෙන් අදාල ලියකියවිලි අත්සන් කැර ගන්නැයි විනිසුරු මහාධිකරණ ලේඛකාධිකාරීට නියෝග කෙළේය.
