    this news is old :P
BTW why did they run 3dmark 05??????????????
Core i7 ran 3dmark vantage oc'ed and with quad sli GTX295(oc'ed too) for 40k points :D
    its old news too!:P:rofl::rofl:

It's good if you don't have anything else to do, but why don't they fail these as legit overclocking results, because those settings cannot be used in reality!!!

Hey,,,,, this is abt Overclocking capability of these CPUs:yes:
Not all guys could run @ 6.3 GHz ne....?

Does it matter if he can run it at 1000GHz if he can't do it without special, extraoriniary conditions. I'm talking about LN2 cooling and dangerous voltages. It's ok for just the records, but end users should not come to any conclusions with these.

It's something else if you can run it at 4GHz with a very good air cooler or 4.5-5GHz with water cooling, because those are viable cooling options for daily PC usage.

Some people in Elakiri ,is benchmarking with unstable overclocks :P Intel mobo s
, i think this is like that , these overclocks are stable only for 4-5hrs , & only for 3dmark06 ne, you can earn money from these types of benching in OC competitions :P

    AFAIK for a example :-E8400

all the E8400 's (C0 and E0) can run at 4.5 ghz , but u need different voltages for different CPUs , E0 Stepping E8400 s can do 4 ghz with less voltages ,

BUT I DONT KNOW ABOUT OVERCLOCKING AMD;s:P

No dude,,,,, U didnt understand wot i said...:oo:
This is abt Overclocking\Perfomance boost Test,,, not only which CPU goes to higher GHz. U knw world record is for INTEL PENTIUM CPU @ 8+GHz:lol:
So ppl can understand which CPU gives the best performance @ same Overclocking point....:dull:
Eg:- How many 3DMark gives Phenom II @ 6GHz
    How many 3DMark gives Core i7 @ 6GHz
    How many 3DMark gives Yorkfields @ 6GHz

But i dnt believe these kind of Synthetic benchmarks are useful to measure CPU performance.... cuz Some CPUs (Most INTEL) are the best CPUs in all Synthetic tests.... But @ high-End Gaming with full of Anti-Aliasing they gives damn Frame Rates, Jas like GTX295....:growl:
I think AMDs(CPUs & GPUs) are more Stable than both Intel & nVIDIA @ work load...
I think now u could realize that wot i said before ;) ;)

amd cpus give shitty fps! intel is the best for sli/crossfire setups:D
