oo LTTE claymore mine kills a soldier- Vavuniya - 07-24-2006, 03:13 PM
LTTE exploded a claymore mine this morning (Monday the 24th of July)

Some Army personnel were traveling in a tractor towards Chettikulam when this explosion occurred. The incident happened at 08:30 a.m, at Kankankulam in the Vavuniya area.

It is believed that the purpose of this exploding the Claymore mine was to kill as many Army personnel as possible.

Thus the explosion of this morning was capable of causing the death of only one soldier. Two others suffered injuries.

The injured personnel were rushed to the General Hospital in Vavuniya for immediate medical attention.
