Another thing....agree with you this "people who build the road for Kasun Kalhaara to sing those beautiful songs" cuz most sri lankan musicians trying to do kottu music.machang! to me Amaradeva's voice is not a BEAUTIFUL voice..true he owns a deep voice and good vocal range..but it's not beautiful..amradeva is the person who make me to hate sinhala songs. during my school period they use to play amradeva's tracks....from mornig to evening

#$*^ .sorry.but Kasun Klahara is the one who changed my perception about sri lankan music. till middle of 2006 i never knew about him.someone told me about him,when i listned to his 1 cd i thougt he is o.k cuz.i thought he is a person who trying be the dude.but when listen to his 2 cd i was so amazed ,what he was doing now ,has been never done before in sri lanka.He is music is so simple,smooth,there is meannig in that music... beautiful melodies.he is the only musican or the vocalist in sri lanka who gives a prominent place for the VOICE :yes:

.so i agree with you on your opinian "people who build the road for Kasun Kalhaara to sing those beautiful songs" . if they wouldn't those chaaaa thing kasun would't do these kind of beautiful things.another thing one day kasun kalhara would be the sri lanka's BEST vocalist & musican.which means he would go further than Mastero Kemadhasa(Kasun's master) & " Amaradeva" .cuz kasun is still 27 ,and for that age he is OVER TALENTED.i would say he is the only sri lankan artist who has talent to go the international.music scene. :cool:

People who think like that are becoming an extinct species. Amardeva has the best voice an Asian male ever had. Even Greats of India has told this repeatedly. No one scored above him in Bhathkande university for vocals up to now in 50 years.

You have never studied SL music in detail. Kasun Kalhara represents the tip of the ice berg. Amaradeva, Sunil Shantha, Ananda Samarakoon etc. are at the heavy bottom of the ice-berg

No one will match Khemadasa with music, only AR Rahman will match him, he is just a genius. Please listen to his work and then comment. Looks like you have never listened to his full repatoire. And Amarasiri Peiris is SLs best vocalist because he sings with Khemadasa and able to handle that variety from "Sarala geetha" to Operas on Cantatas.
