Caldera DR-DOS Boot Disk

I need to do a clean install of Windows XP from from a supplied boot disk. The instructions found on the disk in files ReadMe.htm and SetupXP.htm say to enter the following commands at the prompt, and I get an error message as thus:

Caldera DR-DOS 7.03
Copyright (c) 1976, 1998 Caldera, Inc. All rights reserved.
[DR-DOS] A:\> D:
[DR-DOS] D:\> cd \i386
[DR-DOS] \I386 winnt32
This program cannot be run in DOS mode.

I get the same error message if I try to enter 'setup' or 'autorun', etc. However, the setup program runs fine if the disk is loaded onto a running windows OS. I have a copy of the windows XP SP3 saved as a .iso file. Perhaps someone could suggest a different boot loader?

I give up. I need to ask for help on this. Any suggestions would be appreciated..........
