1) You dont like the NZ culture.
2) You dont have SL friends in NZ hence isolated.
3) Your best relatives are still in SL.
4) You arent married.

The things you can do.

1) Go to Sri Lankan once a month. preferably in a weekend if u can add 2 annual leaves you can make it a 4 day vacation to SL every-month.
2) If you are isolated get in touch with some SL friends in NZ and make a gang u knw.
3) Get into a really cool office in NZ so u can make some good foreign friends there.

IMO Since you are SE and you have already made it to NZ. you shud be very proud. So many ppl in Sri Lanka are struggling to get in your place/working hard/and even doing illegal things and u wannt go back LOL. the situation in SL gets worse each and every day. The roads are blocked, The gov is bullying. ECTA is coming which will directly affect your profession as well. So i think u shud do those things first and see, if that still doesnt help go back. True. money and quality of life isnt everything. The bond we hv with our motherland is truly a huge one and for some ppl its unbreakable.
