Thanks for the comment. Anyways, when the battery has even 50% charge, it should not connect to the power again, as far as I know. The battery should be used till it drops below maybe 15%.

That's not practical.If you have to go away with 15% laptop is useless where 50% is somewhat ok. And that memory effect was in Ni-Cd batteries.
