Darkness spread again today!!

The darkness spread again today,
Enveloping the little I had saved of light!

Darkness was in prime of its colors,
Slowly withdrawing its weapons of charm,
One by one they took my hopes,
Dreams and wishes went away next,
When nothing was left except some sorrows,
It smiled and felt satisfied,
The work was done!
It made me hollow and lost once again,
Oh, how unfair it seems!
I work day and night to gather little pieces of light,
And all it takes is one sweeping motion,
And all is gone…
Ah, darkness thou art cruel!
