I can look up at the sky and see the whole world,
It's the meaning that I have acquired from the face of this earth,
My country is free at last , I can fly like a bird,
The only nation called mine, I shall respect you till I died,

I raise my head and look at our flag,
It represents all the colors it already had,
No borders or restrictions on my motherland I feel,
So why one should go out of it leaving all what he is,
The lion on our flag represents what we are,
It's all the pride we have being possessing everywhere,
For two thousand and five hundred years of great history,
We are Sri lankans, a single nation, where the world is at a misery.
Our freedom, was hard to obtain,
Sacrifices made for the country shall never go unseen,
Warriors, and great leaders of this land,
Shall never be forgotten,
but to be respected in every way we can.
It's our duty as a single nation,
To resurrect and be supreme,
Yes Lads my dear citizens,
We can do it, we are the Lions.
