Admins use too much force on members. I don't think banning will do any good because they may reincarnate Ex. say bassa is banned, but he may come with bassaNew and then start having problems. and for some banning is not going to keep them starving as well. It should be the ultimate weapon to use. What I have seen is Lich starts to talk about banning too soon.
Other wise admins are fine.
PS. Put a category like Gon Thadiya or some thing and put the trouble makers there!!!
I am talking your complaints in to account, so we’ll take one by one..
1.The debate over chat room/forum idea. Well I don’t think it should be something like NASA tech talk or MSDN this is not a specific subjected forum, this is more in to relaxed open conversation in your leisure time. That’s why we are having different categories to different subjects. So when you take “Elakiri Talk!” I am not expecting my members to post like articles and make this like a tech log or a blog. You can’t just find any popular forum without relaxed posting; we just can’t force people to do it like that. They should have the freedom to post what they like in their own way. These days I am not seeing any posts like chat room type, I mean some one telling something and others say only word “so” or “ithin” and make a post. I can’t see such stuff. So what are the chat room posts you are talking about? Machan the main thing is I don’t care what is the definition people have given to forums and chat rooms it’s the technology we are using to our own requirements. So if you really wanna see kinda tech article type forum we’ll gonna add Article section in Beta 3 so you can post like that. But I haven’t seen any popular entertainment/leisure forum in the world which strictly sticks in to such structure.
2.Well I completely disagree with your comment admins are always with M.Entertaintment! M Entertainment just another record company for me, since they don’t want to see their records online we don’t post them in our sites. They are directly taking legal actions for sites which distribute their records.
And I can’t see any way of taking action against it because they have fully legally supported that idea.
It’s that artists sell their albums to M entertainment and they get full right to sell and distribute it. So people who owns the Lyrics and Music have given the fully authority to a 3rd party company. We can’t do much about it.
I saw some post you are saying that they are remixing old songs and selling it. Well then it’s something that artists should be blamed because they are the once who making it and selling it to M Entertainment. If you hate that you easily stop that by not listening to such remixes. But what our people want is, they really like to listen to those songs but want them free. So what the point there machan? You really like to listen to them mean they have a value and those artists have done some valuable work so how to expect it free?
If you hate such remixing just don’t listen or buy them then it can be stopped.
3.On your comment admins making too much force on the members, I completely disagree with that too. Show me a place I have done something like that? We are taking all our members like brothers and sisters. Show me anyone I have treated badly. Every one I have talked say I’m cool and treating them really well.
So all of you are our friends, I can’t see anywhere we have mistreated them. Please
show me where I have done such thing even unintentionally???? I really like to correct my errors
4.Well about the banning thing only one person I have banned because as you all know he has completely SPAM the board. I even had a thread asking should we ban him or not and all the people said to ban him. I banned him for 2 weeks but end of that he came again and posted another SPAM post as his FIRST post, so he got another month ban. If he still does that again I have to ban him forever.
About Walbada’s idea about putting them in Gon Thadiya category, I don’t think it’ll work machan. Because then they can sign-out easily and create new account within 5 seconds.
Well as walbada said it’s NOT easy to register new account and come back again and give problems. Technology is much advance now! Apart from banning even we can make some member fully mess-up on the forum without banning him. haha so anyway I don’t wanna talk more about these things. What I really want is not banning members, what I really like to see is no banned members! So we are really happy family. The friendliest srilankan community on earth.
So guys I need your comments, I am trying hell hard to make this place the friendliest community for srilankans. So need your support, post your complaints, problems and comments. I really wanna see people doing it and showing our errors!!
