Penryn seems to clock really well. It's no real surprise because almost all the Core 2 Duo CPUs can do at least 2.80GHz. They have also released the QX6800 which runs almost at 3GHz. And Conroe is 65nm. Penryn is 45nm. The newer process technology will yield lower power at the same clock speed or same power consumption at higher clock speeds. 3.33GHz is the launch speed. It will most probably reach 4GHz in 45nm.
6MB and 12MB cache! Yummy!
Too bad they haven't shown how both CPU families perform at the same clock speed.
