A six-year-old girl, Pavithra, who was at Kalubowila Hospital with her mother, who had been seriously injured in Monday’s bomb blast at Ratmalana. Pavithra had been inquiring after her two brothers who were with her at the time of the explosion.
It has now been found that one of her brothers, Kushan Rajakaruna had died on admission to Panadura Hospital, while the other, Dilan Rajakaruna, is receiving treatment at the same hospital. Pavithra’s mother, who was also seriously injured, survived.
Six-year-old Pavithra who was on her way back home to Boossa with her mother and two brothers after an alms giving, had to go through the ordeal of seeing her seriously injured mother with blood soaked clothes being admitted to hospital after the bomb blast. Besides, she was also clueless about the whereabouts of her two brothers by the time she came to the hospital accompanying her mother.
