I am using Internet Download Manager 5.11.3.
and AVG AntiVirus.

I got a virus alert from avg saying IDMan.exe has been infected with a virus named Obfustat.ARP
So I quarantined it and reinstalled IDM.
After That I did a full system scan and found no viruses.
After few days again AVG gave an virus alert that IDMan.exe has been infected with Obfustat.BPE

every time the virus alert comes Generic Host Process for win 32 services crashes.
I searched for these virus info and found none.

What is this virus and what does it do?
Why does it reappear every few days?
Can anyone help me?

dude you have a infection. cause you used a file from a crack site. its infected. Obfustation is a generic name for Trojan servers when they are made undetected by hackers. using Code Obfustation to sneak Anti-virues. go to cmd -> type netstat -n and see if u have any new connections from your box. if ur infected then i recommend you to boot ur pc in safe mode and do a full system scan. even better reformat :)

Btw I'm the new Technical support here..lol.. kidding ;)

As others say may be the virus is the patch program. Why don't you put the download manager away and use the free download manager which is a freeware. So you won't get problems with cracks.
