Help Sri Lanka win a $1Million! Vote for Educate Lanka Foundation reach 10,000!
Educate Lanka Foundation inc. is a non-profit organization established to provide underprivileged students in Sri Lanka the financial assistance needed for their education. Our Foundation was started in 2006 by a group of students studying in the Greater Washington area.
A rare opportunity has opened up for us to receive a $25,000 donation with the news of Chase Community Giving – an initiative by Chase Bank to donate $5 million to the local charities, for which we have been fortunate enough to be chosen for. Chase will donate $25,000 each to the top 100 most voted charities by December 11th. For this all that is required is for facebook users to vote on an application established by J.P. Morgan Chase. We currently sponsor over 200 underprivileged students, and the annual commitment for this undertaking happens to be $25000 as well. The sense of urgency that might be evident is because of the proximity to the deadline, and I sincerely apologize for such short notice.
For this matter, and for the benefit of our organization, I was wondering if you can give us a bit of publicity, by perhaps posting a couple of our documentaries on your page and/or by having an icon that directs users straight to the voting application on facebook.

Our primary mode of accomplishing this objective is by providing financial scholarships to those students who show promise of academic excellence to ensure that they achieve a quality education. The Foundation acts as an independent entity to locate people from around the world to become sponsors for these student scholarships.
