Mobitel provide Election Results via SMS!!!!


Mobitel, the pioneer in providing Election Results via SMS continues its service to the public together with Department of Government Information at the Western Province Provincial Council Elections 2009. Mobitel subscribers can now register to receive election results upon release by typing ‘REG’ and sending to 2255. The service is offered at a monthly subscription of rupees thirty.
In addition to election results, subscribers to the service are also entitled for ‘Info Department’ SMS News Alerts at no additional charge. As a result Mobitel subscribers can also keep up to date while on the move, on a wide variety of news items including news related to the Government of Sri Lanka, its development progress, Ministries, Departments, other state Institutions as well as special events and incidents of public interest.
