A time has come for everybody to forget about their political parties, symbols and colours and unite on behalf of democracy says Information Secretary of the JVP Vijithe Herath. He says all parties that supported Gen. Fonseka should continue to maintain their unity to safeguard democracy.
When 'Lankatruth' inquired regarding how the JVP would participate at the forthcoming general election Mr. Herath said the party view is that the general election should be contested with the combination of more groups and organizations than that cooperated for the presidential election. However, the decision by the UNP to contest under the 'elephant' symbol is the only snag for such a combination pointed out Mr. Herath.
