This really sucks....the so called new age Sri Lankan songs literally make a person wanna puke!!....
I know its REALLY OBVIOUS but look at the songs you get from our neighbour, India. 95% of their songs have class and shows what a collection of talents they possess. They have nice beats, lyrics and what not. Look at us, we try to copy them (which we are never good at) and we barely have 5 groups which do MEANINGFUL and CREATIVE songs these days.
The other sad part is the SL groups do a piss-poor job in their visuals and in making up plots to suit the songs. Most of the plots or stories behind are VERY MUCH THE SAME..Plus they try to act "cool" wearing flashy clothes and gear and do all the lamest moves you can think of to show that they have style. Get real!!! Would anybody like to watch or listen to most of these songs over and over again. I dont think so, unless you don't know what really good songs sound like or haven't heard one yet.
The other thing is these new SL groups try to attract the viewers for their songs by showing half naked girls or popular actresses and models. FINE!!!! one would say thats like the way its been done now.....STILL you gotta have a DAMN GOOD SONG to suit it, then only the real quality will come out. Would anybody praise the song just for the hot gals in the video....i don't think so for the ones who appreciate quality music.
