What You Need to Know About DirectX 10 - 12-02-2006, 06:54 AM

I found this nice article to get an idea about what DirectX 10 is and not.

Direct X is a absolute requirement in Microsoft platforms. It acts as a interface between the the Hardware and its drivers.

It's pretty much a low level driver. But DX10 looks like a lot more than that. It's integrated to the whole OS. That's why there won't be a DX10 variant for XP. You just can't install it on XP as we did the previous versions.
