AVG is good for a free anti-virus. But its detection rates are lower than NOD32, Symantec Antivirus, Kaspersky etc.

But the purpose of a virus guard is to stop such catastrophes no? If you think like that, you are better off not using a virus guard. At least your PC would be fast for a couple of days

Of course it is not a bad thing to welcome people. But he's not welcoming the latest newcomers Instead he's welcoming a little older newcomers. (I don't know how to put it in another way. I hope you understood what I meant by that.)
